A Specialist Job, Requires Specialist People

As Connor Construction is a specialist contractor in level work, Colas asked us to complete a contract for works at Winchester Roundabout in Basingstoke where we supplied all of our own guys, haulage and plant.

The £570,000 works went on for a period of four weeks in March. There was a lot going on with this particular contract as we not only worked on the Roundabout, but the off-roads and footpaths too.

Each day, we had a gang of 16 skilled Connor Construction personnel working on site, consisting of a Full Time Supervisor, a Machine lay gang and Prep Gang.

We used all of our own Low Loaders to deliver our own kit: a metre planer, 2 Vogele paver machines, 2 161 Rollers, 2 135 Rollers, 2 Streetmasters, a chipper machine and an 8-10 Deadweight roller.

We also used our own Spray Tankers for these works.
